Border control will be reintroduced at Italy's internal borders on 5-18 June 2024 due to the G7 summit in Brindisi, Italy. The temporary closure of internal borders does not affect our flights. Internal borders are the borders between countries in the Schengen Area. There is no change in entry requirements to Italy.

If you travel to Italy on 5-18 June 2024, please prepare for a border check when crossing the internal border, and make sure that you have the required travel document with you. To smoothen your arrival in Italy, you can add your travel document details when checking in online or in Finnair app. Online check-in for flights to Italy opens 36 hours before the departure.
