Long-haul

We fly long-haul to and from North America, Asia and the Middle East. You may also find these services on selected short-haul routes within Europe if the flights are operated with our A350 or A330 aircraft.

Flight map

Track your flight and explore the world with an interactive flight map on the seatback screens. On short-haul flights, you can track your flight progress on your own device with the Nordic Sky portal.

Audiobooks, newspapers and magazines

Time flies with audiobooks, newspapers and magazines! The Nordic Sky portal offers a large media selection you can access on your own device – free of charge, with no internet connection required.

Entertainment for kids

Our seatback screens can be set to show child-friendly movies, TV shows and games. Additionally, the Nordic Sky portal offers audiobooks for children and the Aviation game – free of charge, with no internet connection required.

Nordic Sky portal is an onboard website that is accessible during flight with your own device (no internet needed). In the portal you can track the progress of the flight on a map (short haul flights), read newspapers and magazines, listen to audiobooks and claim or buy internet access.

Follow these steps to access Nordic Sky portal:

Set your device to flight mode.
Turn Wi-Fi on from your smartphone, tablet or laptop settings.
Join NORDIC SKY Wi-Fi network.
Go to wifi.finnair.com

Yes, you can use your own headphones with the standard 3.5mm plug on all our A350 and the newly modified A330 aircraft. Both of these aircraft types have the two-pin sockets installed in all travel classes, but no adaptor is required – you can plug your headphones into either of the sockets and enjoy movies and music with stereo sound.

Our in-flight entertainment system does not yet support Bluetooth headphones.

If you don’t have suitable headphones, don’t worry. In long-haul Business Class and Premium Economy, active noise-cancelling headphones are available for you to use during the flight. In long-haul Economy Class, you will find a pair of earbuds in your seat pocket. If you decide to use the earbuds provided to you during the flight, we urge you to save them for your return flight.

All seats on flights operated with our A350 or A330 aircraft are equipped with power outlets. The power capacity depends on the aircraft and travel class.

The universal power outlets available on our aircraft are compatible with all standard electrical cords, and you don't need a separate adapter. The USB ports vary based on the aircraft and travel class, either being USB-A or USB-C.

How many watts do I need to charge my phone or laptop?

Please refer to the instructions provided by your device manufacturer. The latest smartphone models require at least 15W for charging, and not all onboard outlets can provide sufficient power. Some new laptop models come with chargers that require up to 140W, which is not supported by any of the onboard outlets.

The power output in watts is provided for informative purposes. It does not guarantee that charging your device will be successful on board.

We're thrilled to present to you our award-winning in-flight entertainment system. While quality entertainment is a must, we want the system to also support your journey as a whole. From take-off to landing, you get an overview of flight progress, including guidance for connecting flights. The screens adapt to the different steps of the journey. This way, the cabin ambience is fitting throughout the flight – be it for mealtimes, resting, or working.
