Baggage handling for departing baggage at Helsinki Airport is currently congested due to technical issues with the baggage handling system. The technical issue is now solved, but the deliveries might take more time than usual.

If your baggage didn’t arrive on the same flight with you, please follow the instructions sent to you via an SMS/email. In case you didn’t receive the message, please do the following:

  • Create a delay report for your baggage online. You can use your own mobile device or the self-service kiosks in the airport arrival hall. Please remember to fill in all information correctly, for example insert your first and last names to the right fields. This helps you to follow the status of your bag later. You can then continue your journey.
  • If you prefer us to create the delay report for you, please contact our ground crew at the Arrival Service desk.
  • You can follow the status of your baggage throughWorldTracer service, using your last name and report number.
  • We will contact you personally to organise the delivery of your baggage, after it has arrived.

We will do our best to deliver your baggage to you as soon as possible. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

You can check your passenger rights here.
