Finnair has been made aware of a fraudulent phishing email campaign that is currently circulating and using Finnair branding, aiming to get customers and wider public to give their bank details.

The phishing attempts claim to be from Finnair and the phishing website uses Finnair branding. The messages or site has nothing to do with Finnair and is in no relation to any actual issues with your payments. These are opportunistic attempts, similar to other campaigns utilising known public organizations’ brands from banks to online retailers and transportation companies.

The link in the email leads to a phishing website designed to look like the Finnair site and aimed at gathering bank details. 

If you have received a phishing message

If you receive this kind of email message, delete it without opening the links it contains.

If you have opened the message and entered your credit card details or online banking credentials on the phishing site, contact your bank or credit card company immediately for further action.

If you suspect that scammers have obtained your details or scammed you in another way, contact your bank at once. Push feelings of embarrassment aside and act promptly: anyone can fall victim to a scam.
