How long before the flight departure should I be at the airport?

It depends on the departure airport, departure time and possible queues. However, we recommend arriving at the airport at least 2 hours before departure for short-haul flights and 3 hours before departure for long-haul flights. Make sure that you allow enough time to complete the necessary security checks at the airport, and to get to your gate on time. It’s also good to reserve enough time for unexpected situations, such as long queues at the bag drop or security check.

The purpose of the check-in deadlines is to guarantee that flights can depart on time. Gates close around 15 minutes before departure – please check the exact time on your boarding pass.
