Finnair Plus membership tiers and benefits

Flying with Finnair or our oneworld partner airlines gives you better benefits by helping you reach higher Finnair Plus membership tiers. The more you fly, the more benefits you gain.

Finnair Plus loyalty program has five tiers: Basic, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum Lumo.

When you join Finnair Plus, you start off as a Basic member and your one-year tracking period begins. You’ll reach a new tier when you collect the needed number of tier points.

A tracking period always lasts 12 months and recurs automatically. When you reach a new tier, that tier membership will continue for the rest of your previous tracking period plus the next 12 months.

Finnair Plus tier benefits apply when travelling on Finnair flights (AY code on a ticket and flight operated by Finnair of Norra).

Reaching Finnair Plus tiers

You can collect an equal amount of tier points alongside Avios from flights with Finnair and oneworld member airlines. The more tier points you collect during your tracking period, the higher membership tier and more valuable benefits you will get. Read more about collecting Avios and tier points from flights.

You can collect tier points from:

• Flight and travel extra purchases with Finnair based on the money spent*
• Flights marketed or operated by a oneworld partner airline based on travel class, booking class and miles flown
• Purchases made with Finnair Visa Credit card, when you make purchases of at least €1,500 per month**

As a Finnair Plus Silver, Gold, Platinum or Platinum Lumo member, you will collect 10–25% more Avios and tier points from Finnair codeshare flights, American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia flights (AY/AA/BA/IB code on the ticket).

*Excluding taxes, fees, other airport and service charges and travel extra purchases made on board the flight or in connection with an award flight. 
**Finnair Visa Credit card is only available in Finland.

Milestones – rewards within tiers

Milestones is a new benefit that rewards you within tiers. A milestone is a point limit within existing tiers, and as of 9 March 2024, you will be rewarded when reaching these milestones.

You can reach milestones by collecting tier points, similarly to our membership tiers.

You will collect milestones only from your own membership tier. For example, if you are a Finnair Plus Gold member, you will be able to get milestones for the Gold tier.

Finnair Plus Lifetime

We have two Finnair Plus Lifetime tiers: Gold and Platinum. Once you reach a Lifetime tier, it will never be downgraded and you can always enjoy its benefits. 

Your Lifetime point balance consists of all tier points you earn during your Finnair Plus membership. You’ll reach the Finnair Plus Lifetime Gold tier with 2,000,000 Lifetime tier points, and the Finnair Plus Lifetime Platinum tier with 3,300,000 Lifetime tier points. You’ll earn tier points when you fly with Finnair and other oneworld airlines. You can check your Lifetime tier point balance by logging in to your Finnair Plus account.
