Will I lose benefits if I change from a Finnair Visa Credit card to a Finnair Visa Credit Light card?
If you change from Finnair Visa Credit to Finnair Visa Credit Light, you’ll lose some benefits as Finnair Visa Credit Light offers fewer benefits than Finnair Visa Credit:
- You collect fewer Avios: 1 Avios for every €2 regardless of your membership tier.
- It is not possible to link a parallel card to a Finnair Visa Credit Light card. If you have a parallel card linked to your existing Finnair Visa Credit card, it has to be terminated.
- With Finnair Visa Light, it is not possible to collect tier points.
- With Finnair Visa Light, you cannot exchange Avios for tier points or transfer Avios between Finnair Plus accounts free of charge in Finnair Shop.
Please note that you can only have one Finnair Visa credit card at a time. You can change from a Finnair Visa Credit card to a Finnair Visa Credit Light card through a separate card change application.
When you apply to change your Finnair Visa card, we will change your old card to a new Finnair Visa credit card. Your credit card number will change along with the card change, and you will be sent a new card. You can use your old and new card side by side for an approximately 3-week transition period. Both Finnair Visa credit cards appear side by side in the Finnair Visa application during the transition period, and the transactions of both cards are shown in the same transaction list and distinguished on the invoice. The cards have a common credit limit. Your current card will be automatically closed at the end of the transition period.
