Where can I check which ticket type I booked?

If you are not sure which ticket you booked or want to double-check, your ticket type is given in your booking confirmation email. Note that if you booked through a travel agency, it might be necessary to ask directly from the travel agency.

Upgrade your travel class

If you purchase a travel class upgrade, the ticket change and refund policy will follow from the original ticket type. Other benefits depend on the travel class and when and where you buy the upgrade.

Upgrades to Business Class

  • If you purchase in advance, you get the full benefits of the Business Class upgrade.
  • If you purchase at the airport, you get the Business Class experience on board, while priority services at the airport, such as lounge access, are not included. The rules of your original ticket define the baggage allowance.

Start with checking if your flight can be upgraded. If there's availability, we encourage you to purchase it in advance on our website to enjoy all of its benefits.

Upgrades from Premium Economy to Business Class are currently only available via the Finnair customer service. The fastest way to reach our customer service is via our chatbot Sisu – when using your Avios or upgrade benefits to request an upgrade, you don’t have to queue at all.

Upgrades to Premium Economy

With an upgrade to Premium Economy Class, you can enjoy the full Premium Economy experience on board. The rules of your original ticket define all the other benefits, including baggage allowance.

You can book upgrades from Economy Class to Premium Economy conveniently online. Simply log in to the upgrade tool with your family name and booking reference and see the available options for both Premium Economy and Business Class.
