Frequently asked questions

I have requested wheelchair assistance. Do I need to book a seat in advance?

If you requested assistance to the gate (WCHR) or also in stairs (WCHS):

Selecting a seat in advance is chargeable for Superlight, Light and Classic ticket types. You can choose a chargeable seat, once the wheelchair assistance is confirmed (you can track the status of your assistance request in Manage booking). Selecting a seat at the time of check-in is also possible for a fee. Online check-in opens 36 hours before departure. For flights to the USA, check-in opens 24 hours before departure.

If you have booked a Flex ticket type ticket, you can choose a Standard seat or Preferred seat free of charge in advance and at the time of check-in.

Kindly note that it is not possible to book an Extra Legroom seat if you have requested an assistance service.

If you requested to be carried from the wheelchair to the aircraft (WCHC):

If you have requested wheelchair assistance to/from the seat, we will seat you on a window seat due to safety reasons. Window seat seating is free of charge for you and one assistant. Please note that seats with more legroom are still chargeable in this case.
