Does the Finnish VAT increase affect flight prices?

The Finnish VAT increase from 24% to 25.5% does not apply to flight prices, but some travel extras will be affected.

The VAT change will affect lounge access at Helsinki Airport, purchased as a travel extra, and internet access purchased for Finnish domestic flights.

All other Finnair services and products will remain unaffected because the VAT rate for flight tickets and other travel extras is different from the tax rate being changed in September 2024.
