What is the maximum weight of a suitcase and how much does the transportation cost?
A standard checked bag can weigh up to 23 kg and have external dimensions of 90 cm x 75 cm x 45 cm (35 in x 30 in x 18 in).
When travelling on a long-haul flight with a Business Classic or Business Flex ticket, the maximum weight for a checked bag is 32 kg.
Otherwise, a heavy or oversized bag charge will be collected if you are travelling with a bag that weighs 23–32 kg (50–70 lb) or exceeds the standard size of 90 cm x 75 cm x 45 cm (35 in x 30 in x 18 in). The maximum allowed dimensions are 190 cm x 75 cm x 65 cm (75 in x 29.5 in x 25.5 in). See the extra baggage fees.
If your bag weighs over 32 kg or exceeds the maximum allowed dimensions, it cannot be checked in and needs to be shipped as cargo. However, some special items that exceed the maximum measurements, such as wheelchairs, selected sports equipment and large musical instruments, can be accepted with prior approval from the airline.
