Why can’t I check in?

There may be several reasons why you can't check in at Finnair.com or with the Finnair app. For example:

  • There are more than 36hrs to the departure (24hrs for flights to the USA)
  • Your name and booking reference do not match your ticket
  • The flight is operated by some other airline than Finnair or Norra
  • Your ticket is not updated

If you are travelling with pets, you can check in online but will receive the boarding pass at the airport.   

The online check-in service is not available for flights departing from Burgas, Dubrovnik, Rimini, Salzburg and Split.
