Effects of Transport Worker’s Union’s strike warning on Finnair flights

The Transport Worker’s Union in Finland has issued a strike warning regarding Finnair’s cabin crew. We have not cancelled flights due to the strike warning.

UPDATE 16 FEBRUARY: The two involved parties have today accepted the proposal given by the national Conciliator yesterday. As an agreement has now been reached, the strike which was announced to start on February 22 has been cancelled.

The Transport Worker’s Union AKT in Finland has issued a strike warning regarding Finnair’s cabin crew. If the strike would realise, it would begin on 22 February 2022 and last until 8 March.

At this stage we don’t know the impact of the possible strike on our flights.  We have not cancelled any flights due to the strike warning. We are monitoring the situation closely and do our best to minimize any inconvenience to you.

Our flexible ticket change policy is valid for tickets booked by 31 May 2022, and you can change your travel dates flexibly without a change fee online.

If your flight would be affected, we’ll contact you directly via SMS and/or email. Please make sure that we have your current contact information via Manage booking

If the strike would realise and your flight would be cancelled, we do our best to re-route you to your destination or you can apply for a refund for unused tickets. We will publish more detailed instructions, if we are forced to make changes to your travel plans.

We are very sorry for the uncertainty and worry this situation may cause you.
