Finnair Lounges at Helsinki Airport

At Helsinki Airport, our lounges on the Schengen and non-Schengen sides offer you a perfect spot whether you are making a quick stop or have a longer time to enjoy our services.

Relax in Finnair Lounges

Combining Nordic design, atmosphere and hospitality, our lounges at Helsinki Airport invite you to spend a hassle-free moment before your flight. We have two lounges at Helsinki Airport – one on the Schengen side, and another on the non-Schengen side of the airport.

Schengen side

  • Located near gate 21 (3rd floor)
  • Open daily 5 a.m.–11.30 p.m.
  • Breakfast buffet until 10.30 a.m.
  • Lunch and dinner buffet after 10.30 a.m. 

Non-Schengen side

  • Located near gate 52
  • Business Lounge open daily 5.30 a.m.–12 a.m. (midnight)
  • Platinum Wing open daily 10.30 a.m.–5.30 p.m.
  • Hot breakfast until 10.30 a.m.
  • Lunch and dinner after 10.30 a.m. 

Welcome to the new Comfort Zone: the brand-new and more spacious Finnair Lounge on the Schengen side of Helsinki Airport is now open.

The lounge has two sides: Finnair Business Lounge and Finnair Platinum Corner, which is dedicated to Finnair Plus Platinum and Platinum Lumo members.

Location:

Finnair Business Lounge and Platinum Corner on the Schengen side

  • Near gate 21 (3rd floor)
  • When coming from the security check, turn right, walk past the Central Plaza and then take the stairs or escalator up to the third floor.
  • When coming from a connecting flight, turn towards the Central Plaza by gates 21–22 (towards Exit) and then take the stairs or escalator up to the third floor.

Opening hours:

Finnair Business Lounge and Platinum Corner on the Schengen side

  • Daily from 5 a.m. to 12 a.m. (midnight)
  • The lounge is available to you when your flight departs on the same day from the Schengen area and is operated and marketed by a oneworld airline

Finnair Platinum Corner

  • Business Classic, Flex or Saver* ticket holders and Finnair Plus Gold members can upgrade their complimentary lounge access to the Platinum Corner
  • Available directly at the lounge reception
  • Adults: €30 or 4,800 Avios
  • Children: €15 or 2,400 Avios

*Business Saver tickets are only available for journeys from Japan to Europe (for example, Tokyo–Helsinki and Tokyo–Helsinki–Tokyo).

Food and drink:

Finnair Business Lounge and Platinum Corner on the Schengen side

  • Breakfast buffet every morning until 10.30 a.m.  
  • Soup and salad from a buffet with a hot main course (either the soup or the hot main course is always vegetarian while the other one includes meat or fish) and dessert after 10.30 a.m. until 11.30 p.m.
  • Our menu rotates every two weeks to offer variations if you travel with us often
  • A selection of wines, sparkling wine, beer, Finnish long drink and non-alcoholic beverages is available for you to enjoy throughout the day. Please note that we cannot serve alcoholic beverages before 5.30 a.m. due to the Finnish alcohol legislation.

Nordic design

Every detail in the new Finnair Lounge on the Schengen side is designed with your comfort in mind. Our new haven at Helsinki Airport offers you a place to relax, with Nordic design and seamless service. In a world that grows busier by the day, we understand the need for comfort.

The lounge has different areas for dining, resting and enjoying time with your travel companions – whichever way you want to spend your time before take-off. The lounge design is inspired by northern nature: wooden surfaces, earthy tones and round shapes invite you to calm down.

You can enjoy the following in both the Business Lounge and Platinum Corner sides of the lounge: 

  • Comfortable areas for dining, working and resting

  • Soundproof phone booths
  • Lockers for carry-on baggage during your lounge stay 
  • An open buffet with a selection of hot meals, salads, soup, dessert and drinks

The Finnair Lounge in the non-Schengen side of Helsinki Airport invites you to enjoy our signature drinks and delicious meals, relax in the cosy sofas and armchairs and refreshen in the private shower suites.

The lounge has two sides: Finnair Business Lounge and Finnair Platinum Wing which is dedicated to our Finnair Plus Platinum and Platinum Lumo members.

  • À la carte menu
  • Buffet with hot soup, bread selection, salads and tapas options, as well as a dessert table with fruit, petite fours and cheeses
  • An upgraded beverage selection with vintage champagne, signature cocktails and mocktails, wines as well as hot and soft drinks

Finnair Business Lounge in the non-Schengen area – something for everyone

Located near gate 52, there are 450 seats and indeed something for everyone. 

Enjoy one of our signature drinks in the bar area, where cosy sofas and armchairs are perfectly suited for chatting and socialising. There also are seats with more privacy, for example for working or just relaxing, and you can take your private calls in a sound-proof phone booth. If you travel with a family and look for your own peaceful space, you’ll find it in the family zone. 

The open kitchen allows you to see our chefs preparing delicious meals. There are also five private shower suits available for you, with organic Finnish SEES shower products to use.

Finnair Platinum Wing – inspired by Nordic nature

In the Finnair Platinum Wing, you’ll start your journey with style. Inspired by the Nordic nature, Finnair Platinum Wing is designed to offer you a sense of calm before your flight.

Different spaces furnished with soft natural textures and textiles invite you to relax and enjoy. The living room with dark blue colours, cosy sofas and a view to the airport apron are perfect for relaxing.

There are 155 seats for our Finnair Platinum Wing guests. Some seats are fitted with a small table and a lamp for working and privacy. There is also a designated area for dining and drinking, including an upscale bar. Sauna lovers can experience the Finnish sauna. Private shower suites with high-class, organic skincare amenities are also available.

Important information

  • Under 18-year-old customers can visit the lounge only when accompanied by an adult.
  • The lounge is free of charge for infants under 2 years of age. 
  • If your flight departs from the Schengen area, you can use the lounge services on the Schengen side. If your flight departs from the non-Schengen area, you can use the lounge services on the non-Schengen side. 
  • All the frequent flyer members’ guests must travel on a flight that is operated and marketed by Finnair or another oneworld airline. The guest’s flight must depart from the same side of the Schengen border as the frequent flyer member’s flight. Please note that guests cannot use the automatic gates but need to enter via the lounge reception desk together with the member. 
  • If you are travelling with a pet who is allowed in the cabin, you can also take them to the lounge. Dogs may walk around in the lounge on a short leash, but other pets must be kept in their carrier boxes for safety. The pet must be monitored during the whole stay. 
  • When purchasing lounge access at Helsinki Airport, you can only pay with a card; we do not accept cash payments. Please note that you get the best price when purchasing lounge access in advance from our digital channels.  
  • Finnair Plus Silver members get a discount for lounge access. As a Finnair Plus Silver member, you can buy your flight lounge access at a discount on our digital channels. Alternatively, you can purchase a Finnair Lounge Pass from the Finnair Shop. 
  • Finnair Plus Platinum Lumo, Platinum and Gold members can use Finnair Lounges at Helsinki Airport always when travelling on a Finnair (AY) marketed flight. This also includes codeshare flights that are operated by another airline but have a Finnair marketing code (AY) on the ticket. 
  • With purchased lounge access, you can enter Finnair Lounges up to 3 hours before your flight’s scheduled departure time. 
  • If you would like to spend longer than 3 hours in the Business Lounge on the non-Schengen side, you can do so in case of availability by paying an additional charge at the lounge reception. Please check for availability at the Finnair Business Lounge reception near gate 52. Note that the option to extend the duration of the stay does not apply to the Business Lounge on the Schengen side.
