Due to closed airspace of Pakistan some Finnair flights are disrupted

Due to airspace closure of Pakistan, some Finnair flights are unfortunately disrupted. The disrupted flights are between Helsinki and Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Delhi. Affected customers will be contacted directly by Finnair’s customer service.

First published on 27 February 2019

On flights between Helsinki and Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore there may be delays due to longer flight routes and possible fueling stops. The timetables of flights between Helsinki and Delhi during the month of May have also been changed in order to avoid flight delays.

The airspace closure does not affect our flights to/from China and Japan.

We are following the situation closely and will update any new information on this page. We do our best to minimize the effects on our customers.

You can check up to date flight information here.

If you miss your connecting flight due to a delayed first flight, we’ll re-route you to your destination. As the availability of alternative flights is limited, re-routing may take time. Thank you for your patience! After we’ve re-routed your journey, you can find your updated travel plan via Manage booking. If you wish to make changes to your re-routing, we kindly ask you to contact our customer service.

We are at your service also on Twitter @FinnairHelps, in our Facebook pages and via chat on finnair.com.
