Frequently asked questions

Does Finnair offer service for children travelling alone?

Yes, we offer a guidance service for children travelling alone. For children aged 5–11 the guidance service is mandatory. The guidance service is also available for adolescents between 12 and 17 years of age travelling alone.

An unaccompanied minor can also transfer from one Finnair flight to another, provided that the flights are on the same day. When travelling to and from the United States, an unaccompanied minor reservation is required for all children under 15-year-old travelling alone.

For booking both the ticket and the unaccompanied minor service, please contact our customer service.

Children traveling with the guidance service will be escorted to the arrival hall and can be picked up from there.
